Florida woman and teen killed in crash on I-95
It is always tragic and sad when people are killed suddenly in fatal motor vehicle accidents. In such cases there is no warning and no chance to say goodbye; one moment a victim is going about their day, and the next moment he or she is gone, leaving loved ones to grieve their loss.
Those affected by such tragic events may want to speak with a wrongful death attorney if they feel they might be entitled to compensation. While no amount of money can replace the loss of a loved one, receiving redress from those found negligent can provide some stability during a difficult time.
Two people were recently killed in a multi-car accident in Florida on I-95.
The recent accident occurred in the early evening and caused major closures and traffic delays in the area. The accident happened when a man lost control of the pickup truck he was operating, running it onto the shoulder. In an attempt to regain control he swerved across traffic before striking the guardrail causing the truck to become airborne. While in the air, it sailed into oncoming traffic and hit the roof of a second car, before crashing into a third vehicle.
The passenger of the pickup truck, a 17-year-old, was thrown out of the vehicle and killed. The 56-year-old driver of the first vehicle that the truck collided with was also killed.
The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
In this case charges are pending against the driver of the pickup truck. No matter the charges, the accident is a sobering reminder of the dangers of driving on the nation’s highways.
