Fatal Florida motorcycle accident causes four more crashes
Traffic accidents have the potential to be devastating for everyone involved. The devastation can come in several different forms: physical, emotional, and financial. However, accidents are not only dangerous to the car accident victim. Until they are fully cleared from the roadway, crashes can also prove to be dangerous to both witnesses and passersby.
That was certainly the case on Interstate 4 in central Florida recently when a fatal motorcycle crash triggered four additional accidents, causing traffic jams and delays for several hours.
In the first accident, a speeding motorcycle slammed into the rear end of a car, killing the motorcyclist and causing minor injuries to the driver of the car.
The four additional wrecks were all caused in some way by the first. One vehicle drove off of the highway and hit a guardrail while trying to avoid the first accident. A second vehicle hit the debris from the accident. A sheriff's deputy responding to the first accident also became the victim of a subsequent crash when the deputy's vehicle hit a tractor-trailer.
Suffering an injury or financial loss as the victim of a traffic accident through no fault of your own can bring a myriad of emotions. Frustration, anger, and a sense of injustice are only a few.
For those whose losses have been severe, it may be a good idea to talk to an experienced Florida personal injury attorney. An experienced attorney can advise you of your options for obtaining compensation for your losses, and help you make a prudent decision about how to proceed.
