7 injured in crash at busy Florida intersection
For accident victims, life can change unexpectedly and dramatically in the blink of an eye. One moment they are going about their day, and the next moment another vehicle comes, seemingly out of nowhere, and crashes into them, causing injuries, pain, suffering, or even worse.
Despite precautions such as red-light cameras, advanced automobile features, and driver awareness programs, accidents on Florida roads still happen all too often. An intersection that was the site of a recent accident involving seven vehicles, including a dump truck, has been host to a high number of accidents.
In this accident, which fortunately did not result in serious injuries, the driver of the dump truck plowed through an intersection and hit several cars before stopping in a wooded area, but what caused him to do so is still a question.
The intersection where the crash happened is known to be very busy. Owners of nearby businesses have said that crashes there are a regular occurrence, and they believe that the city should do more to prevent them.
As part of the ongoing truck accident investigation the three red-light cameras that were installed by the city at the intersection will be examined. The investigation into the crash is continuing, and it is unknown at this time whether any charges will be filed against the driver of the dump truck.
Florida residents who have been injured in auto accidents may be entitled to compensation for their injuries. A personal injury attorney may provide guidance regarding your rights if you are a victim in such a case.
